schon seit vielen jahren hätte ein klares wort des papstes viele menschenleben retten helfen können … dennoch wäre es auch jetzt noch dringend erforderlich (und nicht erst wieder in hunderten von jahren)
I belong to those who cannot understand my church with regard to forbidding the use of condoms in the context of HIV/Aids. I have seen the devastating effects of this disease in Africa, as I ran the Aids work for an entire diocese in East Africa. As a matter of fact I was made to leave, with no support and am no longer a nun.
It means I, too, am affected by this endemic.
And I continue to „fight“ for those infected, who are women in the majority, who are unable to disobey their husbands; and they are raped girls – and even nuns (even by priests) – or others, who simply were not careful (so to say).
What is all our preaching of charity, if we cannot allow freedom of conscience and choice (which Pope John
Paul II ironically fostered) and unconditional acceptance of the individual, regardless of what they did etc. ???
I pray that Fr. Hippler does not give up, but is encouraged by those of us who know from experience what the positive life is all about.
Sister Maria-Lauda / Majella Lenzen
Dar Sister Maria-Lauda,
thanks for the comments and the prayer.
And I agree, and the book is about much more: about the non existing inequality of man and women, the question of self determination in sexual matters, the question of conscience… and so much more..
God bless
Fr Stefan Hippler
Dear Fr. Hippler,
as I am not too familiar with the computer, I was not aware of your response.
Thank you; it is true that the total acceptance of the individual is at the crux of the matter; unconditional love,
which the Church seems to have to learn again.
I have ordered your book already; it is being published here
at the end of this month.
How can I remain in touch with you i.e. your email
adress ?
Thank you and God bless,
Sr. Maria-Lauda

And prostitution as well along the long transit ways for lorries. That’s also a fact. This needs practical help, not „only“ morals.
